PART 2The Rasta embassador, Lance Douglas, continues: Slavery threw black people away from their past without giving them any future. The Rasta process is to regain the human self, and the dignity. We refuse to take the farmaceutical products because they are poison. Instead, we take marijuana, which they claim is poison, but in our experience it is the nature’s best medicine. Our dream is not the American dream, which is killing the whole world. Our dream is the African dream. Some Rastas, however, hold that our Africa is here in Jamaica.
